We keep a range of PPE in the space. A list can be found on the Equipment page.

This page is for information about what PPE to buy or use, and what it's good or bad for.

Chemical / Biological Skin Protection

Based on experience, nitrile tends to be better than latex mechanically, and chemicals tend to permeate it less - especially nasty things like Epoxy hardner (bisphenol A). Some people are allergic to latex gloves. Disposable PVC gloves are really thin and not so great for the types of thing we use.

See this PDF for a useful matrix on what to use.

For particularly nasty chemicals or where mechanical protection is needed, consider some thicker gloves specialised for what you're doing.
